Privacy policy
Last updated: November 7, 2026. BidRock is operated by Suresh Patel, a sole proprietor in the United States ("BidRock", "we", "us"). This policy covers bidrock.org and the BidRock desktop app. In short: your drawings and estimates stay on your computer, we collect only what we need to run your trial or license, and we never sell your data.
What stays on your computer
The desktop app keeps your drawings, measurements, worksheets and proposals in a library folder on your computer. We don't receive them unless you use a cloud feature on a plan that includes one, and then only what that feature needs.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you start a trial or buy, to send your download link, trial key or license key, and to contact you about your account.
- License records: your key, plan, seat count, status, dates and an activation log.
- A machine fingerprint: a one-way hash that ties a trial or license to a computer. The raw hardware identifiers never leave your machine.
- Payment records: Stripe handles payment on its own checkout page. We receive the plan, amount, dates and the last digits of the card, never the full card number.
- Basic server logs: our hosting provider records technical details such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure.
The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and runs no third-party analytics. It may remember a display setting in your browser for the current visit.
How we use it
To deliver and activate the software, run trials and licenses, take payment, prevent abuse, answer your messages, and tell you about important changes to your account or these terms. We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Connecting your own AI
If you connect an AI assistant, the sheets and data you ask it to read go to that AI provider under your own account and its terms. We don't see that traffic.
Who processes data for us
We share data only with the services that run BidRock for us, and only what each one needs: Cloudflare (hosting and delivery), Supabase (license records), Stripe (payments) and an email delivery provider (license and account emails). If we add a service that handles your data, such as an AI provider for a BidRock feature, we will name it here before it starts. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
Keeping and deleting
We keep license and trial records while your trial or license is active and for up to 3 years after, so we can honor renewals and prevent trial abuse. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires. Server logs are short-lived. You can ask us to delete your information sooner; we will, except what we must keep by law.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with providers that protect it. No system is perfectly secure, so we keep what we collect small.
Your choices and rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to support@bidrock.org and we'll answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live, such as California or the European Union, you may have further rights under local law, and we will honor them. We won't treat you differently for using them.
Children
BidRock is a business tool and isn't meant for anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and for significant changes we'll email license holders before they take effect.
